Robin Clare, born 1978, is a contemporary artist best known for her bold pattern and text based paintings. Inspired by pop art and urban realism, Clare's blend of humour and imagery quietly subvert, as odd and amusing aspects of the work become a harsh reminder of our impact on the world

Using acrylic and oil on both canvas and paper, there are cultural references to language and metaphor in her work. Clare's paintings sit comfortably between pop art and text based contemporary visual art. Bright colour, juxtaposing imagery and a strong graphic line are recurring themes.

Clare has exhibited her work internationally and her work is included in public and private collections in the UK, North America, Europe and Asia. Clare currently lives and works in Sydney, Australia and exhibits her work in galleries and contemporary art venues.
